2022-23 School Year highlights include:

  • Twelve students received their high school diploma
  • Service activities at the American Legion in New Prague and the Ney Nature Center in Henderson MN
  • Volunteering in the New Prague community raking leaves for veteran and roadside cleanup
  • Raising money for a cash donation and packing food for Feed My Starving Children in Chanhassen MN
  • Post-secondary college visits to DCTC, St Paul College, MN School of Beauty, Hennepin Technical College
  • Tours to By The Yard, Rio Grooming School, Dem Con
  • Participated in Military presentations
  • Related curriculum visits to the Guthrie Theater, Science Museum, Bell Museum and Como Park 
 

2021-22 School Year highlights include:

  • Eighteen students received their high school diplomas
  • Service learning activities at the Ney Nature Center in Henderson 
  • Service activities at the American Legion in New Prague
  • Volunteering in the New Prague community
  • In-person presentations from Teen Challenge
  • Post secondary visits to colleges
 

2020-21 School Year highlights include:

  • Distance and Hybrid Learning for the majority of the year, and returned to in-person for Quarter 4
  • Eighteen students received their high school diplomas
  • Service learning activities at the Ney Nature Center
  • Participated in virtual and in-person presentations from Teen Challenge
  • Participated in virtual and in-person financial planning presentations
  • Welcomed guest speakers on real life topics
 

2019-20 School Year highlights include:

  • Thirteen students received their high school diplomas
  • Volunteered in the New Prague community
  • Volunteered at Feed My Starving Children
  • Built alliance with members of the American Legion
  • Participated in group building activities
  • Toured post secondary institutions and military options
  • Know the truth presentation by Teen Challenge
  • Guest speakers on various topics
 

2018-19 School Year highlights include:

  • Twenty students received their high school diplomas
  • Weekly service projects to the Ney Nature Center
  • Planted 3 Gardens at various locations
  • Volunteered at Feed My Starving Children, Farmhouse Market, Creeks Bend, Mala Strana and Hwy 19 road pickup
  • Participant of the YES! Summit organization
  • Awarded the 18-19 Regional Award for Water Stewardship by the YES! McKnight Foundation
  • Theater experience at the Guthrie Theater
  • Group building activities included participating in BSA Ropes Course, Bowling, Kickball, snowshoeing, Compass course
  • Teen Challenge visited with presentation on Know the Truth
  • Various presentations in house and visits to post secondary opportunities 
 

2017-18 School year highlights include:

  • Twenty students received their high school diplomas
  • Planted 2 Pollinator Gardens with rain collection barrels
  • Attended WE Day at the Xcel Energy Center
  • Weekly service projects at Ney Nature Center
  • Volunteered at Feed My Starving Children, Farmhouse Market and Cedar Brook Garden Center
  • Alliance with the New Prague Green Team and planted organic seeds that produced over 800 plants
  • Community Projects included: winterizing and then preparing gardens in spring for community members
  • Awarded Outstanding Volunteer Award from Ney Nature Center
  • Awarded 2017-18 Southern Regional Award from YES! Youth Eco Solutions
  • Toured post secondary institutions and military options
 

2016-17 School year highlights include:

  • Nineteen students received their high school diplomas
  • Attended WE Day at the Xcel Energy Center
  • Awarded a grant to build an Orienteering Course at the Ney Nature Center in Henderson
  • Awarded a grant to build a Pollination Garden with Rain Collection at our new site
  • Alliance with Ney Nature Center in Henderson
  • Packed meals for Feed My Starving Children
  • Service project to earn over $400.00 to be donated to Feed My Starving Children
  • Community Projects: Raking/winterizing gardens for community members
  • Toured post-secondary institutions and military opportunities
 

2015-16 School year highlights include:

  • Six students received their high school diploma
  • Attended WE Day at the Xcel Energy Center
  • Sponsored a blood drive in New Prague
  • Alliance with Ney Nature Center in Henderson - community service projects
  • Alliance with the Mala Strana - volunteering
  • Alliance with Scott County - Adopt a Highway project
  • Community projects:  raking leaves, winterizing gardens for community members
  • Pack meals for Feed My Starving Children
  • Volunteered at  Simpson House - raised money, prepared and served meals to the homeless
  • Toured post-secondary institutions and military opportunities
 

2014-15 Highlights:

  • Twenty students received their high school diplomas
  • Attended WE DAY at the Xcel Energy Center
  • Guest speakers from Teen and Adult Challenge with special guests: WCCO who recorded the presentation!
  • Co-sponsored a food drive for New Prague
  • Raised money for WE DAYs international charity: FREE THE CHILDREN
  • Raked lawns for local residents
  • Service projects at Feed My Starving Children, Ney Nature Center, Cedar Lake Farm, Raven Stream Elementary
  • Toured post-secondary institutions and military opportunities
 

2013-14 Highlights:

  • Fourteen students received their high school diplomas
  • Eighteen of our students survived a backpacking trip through the Minnesota River Valley.
  • Service learning projects at Ney Nature Center, Cedar Lake Farm, Raven Stream Elementary, Mill Pond Senior Residence, & Feed My Starving Children
  • We toured 10 different post-secondary institutions
  • Nine students completed the Turkey Trot 5K at Dakota Fitness
